The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: Following my graduation I started my career in the petroleum industry in Saudi Arabia working for Aramco/Tapline for 5 years then returning to the United States where I joined the Ohio Oil Co. in 1961 in Findlay, Ohio. Ohio Oil changed its name to Marathon Oil Co. I remained part of this organization in various positions ranging from engineering to upper management and member of the board. I retired from Marathon in 1999 after 38 years of service and a total of 43 years of petroleum industry service. During this time, I worked with, or crossed paths with, numerous Penn Staters including some classmates. I married Beverly A. Hosack from Beaver Falls, PA, while still a student. Bev and I will celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary in September of 2009. We enjoyed raising 2 daughters and a son, and are now enjoying seeing our 7 grandchildren growing up. Two of the 7 are already married. We have been active in our ten years of retirement in spite of my Parkinson's disease, which I have had for over 15 years. |
